Is it a weaving? A fabric? Carpet? Painting?
Nope. These are amazing tulip fields in Holland. No wonder Dutch design is so fun. Look at the inspiration they have! Beats the heck out of our rolling wheat fields. Unless of course you happen upon some crop circles...

Sexy Door Frames; They DO Exist!
Is that a door in that wall? Hard to tell without that 2" hollow metal or aluminum frame sticking off the wall. Lualdi out of Italy makes extremely discreet frames, hardware and doors. Above is the Rasomuro system that allows the door to me completely flush with the wall with just a slight hint of an aluminum frame.
And even though it can only be flush to one side of the wall, it can open inward or outward by switching the hinge to either side.
Their Outline system holds the door off the wall while concealing the frame behind it...
And their Drive system is a very simple barn door...
You can navigate through the options by going to the website and clicking on LualdiDoors.

Acoustical Wall Tiles
Maybe you've heard of or used Tectum as an acoustical surface. Well Traullit Dekor is its cooler Euro cousin. These hexagonal tiles are made from wood fibers held together with a light weight cement, sometimes called woodwool cement board. Traullit is a manufacturer of this type panel in Sweden and the members of Form Us With Love were looking for an interesting, eco-friendly, sound absorbing material for their new studio walls. Mix the two together and you get Dekor, multi-colored tiles that can be adhered to the wall in any configuration you want. The product is fire proof, sound absorbing, moisture regulating, and pretty awesome to boot.
You can see a video of them installed on Form Us With Love's website while you check out all of their other great projects.
I emailed to ask them if it was available in the US but the response email was in Swedish. And when I plugged it into an online translator, it came out as nonsense. So, sorry, I have no idea how to acquire these. But if anyone out there speaks Swedish...
